Starting as a sole trader in 1994 and evolving into Exel Technology Group Ltd in 1998. Our initial focus was providing the UK's Taxi, Private Hire & Chauffeur businesses with cutting-edge solutions. Here are some early examples of how we shaped the future, ‘breaking the mould’ and disrupting the industry:

  • 1994, Weekly Rental Revolution: In a time of high upfront costs, we pioneered a game-changer: offering software and hardware on a weekly rental basis. This made advanced technology accessible to all, fostering widespread adoption.
  • 1998, World's First Windows based Dispatch System: Our ground breaking solution created a new era of efficiency.
  • 2000, Unlocking Caller ID on an Analogue Phone System: We achieved the seemingly impossible, integrating Caller ID with traditional phone lines, streamlining customer identification and dispatch
  • 2002, Pioneering Mobile Dispatch: Years ahead of the curve, we launched the world's first mobile data dispatch system, empowering real-time communication on O2's XDA device.

Growth thrives on collaboration. In 2015, we joined forces with iCabbi (owned by Renault), who pioneered cloud based dispatch and operate throughout the World. We provide 4 key services to them;

  • Exceptional first-line support, 24/7/365, to iCabbi customers worldwide.
  • Sales of iCabbi's telephony product, ‘Voice’ within the UK.
  • Support of Voice 24/7/365 to customers worldwide.
